This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, who sees it, how long it is kept and what your rights are. We keep it short and plain: if anything is unclear, send us a message and we will explain.
Who we are
This website is run by Quinn Developments LTD (“we”, “us”), a kitchen extension builder in South East Essex, registered in England and Wales with company number 11676236. Our office address is Unit 6, Lords Court, Basildon, Essex, SS13 1SS, and you can email us at [email protected]. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website. The website is built and run for us by our web partner, GDLife Media, who also see your enquiry (see who sees your information below).
What we collect
When you use the cost estimator. You can answer the eight questions and see a guide price without giving us any personal details. If you then ask for an itemised estimate, we keep your answers (the type and size of extension, the type of home, the finish, your postcode, how far along you are, whether you have drawings or planning permission, and your budget), the guide price you were shown, and the name, phone number and email address you give us.
When you send us a message. We keep your name, email address, and your phone number, postcode and message if you give them.
How you found us. With either form, we also keep the page you first arrived on, the website that sent you (if any), and any campaign tags in the link you followed, including a Google Ads click reference if you came from an advert. This tells us which pages and adverts bring enquiries.
Protecting the forms. To stop spam, the website briefly counts how many enquiries come from each internet address, using a scrambled version of the address that it forgets after an hour.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and quote for your extension. We use your details to contact you about the project you asked about, which is a step you have asked us to take before any contract. If you become a customer, we use them to carry out the work.
- To understand which parts of the website and which adverts work. This is in our legitimate interests as a small business, and uses the “how you found us” details above.
- To keep the website secure and free of spam, also in our legitimate interests.
We do not use your details for marketing mailings, and we never sell them or pass them to other building firms.
Who sees your information
- Quinn Developments, to reply to you and handle your project.
- GDLife Media, who build and run this website for us. Enquiries reach us through them, and they keep a record of which enquiries go on to become building work.
- Service providers who keep the website and our records running: our website host, which stores the website on servers in the European Union; Cloudflare, which protects the website from attacks and delivers it quickly; and Google, whose services we use to keep the record of enquiries. They only process your information on our instructions.
Some of these providers may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry and do not go ahead, we keep your details for up to two years from when we last heard from you, in case you come back to us, and then delete them. If we build for you, we keep your details and the records of the job for six years after it is finished, because tax and building records need to be kept that long. You can ask us to delete your details sooner (see your rights below).
Cookies and similar technology
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses:
- Your browser’s session storage to remember the page you arrived on while you look around, so that if you send an enquiry we know how you found us. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Fonts from Google. Your browser downloads the website’s fonts from Google, which means Google sees your internet address. Google says it does not use this to build profiles of visitors.
- Security cookies from Cloudflare, which may be set to tell real visitors apart from automated attacks. They are strictly necessary and do not track you across other websites.
If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to us using it or ask us to limit how we use it, and to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere. To use any of these rights, email [email protected] or send us a message. We will reply within one month and there is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if anything changes about how we use your information. Last updated 30 September 2026.
